Maria Stanica

Maria is a third-year student in the Medical/Clinical Psychology Ph.D Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She previously earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of California, Berkeley in 2020. Her doctoral research focuses on social functioning and the neural correlates of cognition in individuals with psychosis and their unaffected first-degree relatives. Clinically, Maria’s therapeutic approach is integrative, incorporating a variety of evidence-based practices including cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and person-centered therapies to support each client’s individual goals and experiences. Maria offers patient services through the DTTG clinic.
